Literature Text

I saw you fall without a sound
I saw you crash and tumble down.
I saw you slowly fade away
I saw your regrets and your shame.

I heard you crying late at night
I heard you pray for the strength to fight.
I heard your whispers and your pleas
I heard you say, "Let me be free."

I wished I could make you feel alive
I wished I could help you survive.
I wished I could  make your demons flee
I wished I could have set you free.

Free from the darkness
That stole your light.
Free from the harshness
Of your life.
Free from the madness
That you couldn't release.
Free from the sadness
That only increased.

I saw you fall and I saw you shatter
I know you think you did not matter.
I heard you scream so quietly
I know you are free now, tragically.
Another poem about my mom regarding depression and suicide...

I'm sorry. It's hard to have a mom like that... I'm here if you want to talk.
